City Council Report (August 15, 2005) The City Council concurred with the recommendations of the Planning Commission with the exception of the following items:
No. 05CA023 - Tittle Springs Subdivision A request by the City of Rapid City for Tracy Parris to consider an application for an Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan to change the land use designation on a .05 acre parcel from Flood to Park Forest on a parcel of land located in Lot 5 of Tittle Springs Subdivision more particularly described by metes and bounds, more generally described as being located at 6201 Magic Canyon Road.
On June 2, 2005, the Planning Commission recommended that the Comprehensive Plan Amendment be approved with stipulations. On August 15, 2005, the City Council denied the request.
No. 05RZ038 - Tittle Springs Subdivision A request by the City of Rapid City for Tracy Parris to consider an application for a Rezoning from Flood Hazard District to Park Forest District on a parcel of land located in Lot 5 of Tittle Springs Subdivision more particularly described by metes and bounds, more generally described as being located at 6201 Magic Canyon Road.
On June 2, 2005, the Planning Commission recommended that the Comprehensive Plan Amendment be approved with stipulations. On August 15, 2005, the City Council denied the request.
No. 05SE008 – Kensington Heights Subdivision A request by Sperlich Consulting for Kensington Heights LLC to consider an application for an Exception to the 40 Unit Rule to allow 48 dwelling units with one point of access in Lieu of 40 dwelling units as per the Street Design Criteria Manual on property located adjacent to the north side and the south side of Dawn Drive.
On August 4, 2005, the Planning Commission recommended that the Exception be denied. On August 15, 2005, the City Council approved the Exception.
No. 05VR008 – Section 13 and Section 14, T2N, R7E A request by Sperlich Consulting for Doeck LLC to consider an application for a Vacation of Section Line Highway located at the western terminus of Cobalt Drive.
On July 21, 2005, the Planning Commission recommended that the Vacation of Section Line Highway be approved. On August 15, 2005, the City Council denied the Vacation without prejudice.
