Summary: |

|
After the Council continued Ordinance 6009 adopting the International Residential Code at its April 6, 2015 meeting, staff drafted Ordinance 6049 to accompany Ordinance 6009. The intention is to permit the discussion of the issue of fire protection of floors on its own timeframe, and to ensure that Council can take adequate time to consider Ordinance 6049 while not impeding the adoption of the 2012 International Residential Code in Ordinance 6009. This ordinance restates the IRC provision requiring fire protection of floors, a provision which is not adopted in Ordinance 6009. |
