Summary:

The Petitioner requests de-annexation of approximately 399 acres of unplatted property. The property is zoned for residential, commercial, and agricultural uses. The lack of municipal infrastructure and the sole use of the property for agriculture purposes supports the application as requested. However, as the City’s growth extends easterly, the property will most likely be utilized to accommodate urban development.
