Summary:
On September 11, 2013, the City filed a Petition to Intervene in the DENR Powertech application for large scale mining permit. The purpose of this intervention was only to have the Rapid City Resolution No. 2013-083 included in the official record for the hearing. On September 16, 2013, during a prehearing conference on motions hearing, the Petition to Intervene was denied. After this denial, the City filed a Motion to Reconsider which will be considered at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2013. Joel Landeen and Ryan Soye will appear at this meeting to argue in favor of intervention.
