|
On September 2, 2014, Council approved an Agreement between the City and the Countryside Homeowners Association, Inc. concerning voluntary annexation of Countryside Subdivision and the City’s assumption of the water system within that subdivision. City staff have been working closely with the Association since that time concerning the parties’ obligations within that agreement. Many of the City’s obligations are part of the Countryside Subdivision Water System Conversion, Project No. 15-2257 / CIP No. 51086, a project for which the City is now advertising for bids. This Amendment to the annexation agreement would give the City additional time to complete certain improvements to the water system, so that bids for the project are not overpriced or overly burdensome to the property owners, who (pursuant to the annexation agreement) will be assessed a portion of the Project’s costs. |
