Authorize Mayor and Finance Officer to Sign Water Service Agreement Between the City of Rapid City and the City of Box Elder
Summary:
This Agreement is an update and replacement for an agreement entered into between Rapid City and Box Elder in 1981.  The Rapid City water service system is connected to the Box Elder water system in a couple places.  The Agreement allows connections to be opened if Box Elder needs water due to an emergency.  It also simplifies the process for opening the connections – the respective Public Works Directors can determine the connection(s) to open and authorize opening without Mayor & Council action.  Council approval would be required if water is needed for longer than 30 days.
