Summary: |

The City of Rapid City currently issues stop payment orders on lost, stolen or destroyed checks in the amount of $500.00 or more. In addition, the recipient of the check is required to pay a stop payment fee, whether the City gets charged or not. This resolution would change this so they recipient only has to pay a stop payment fee if the financial institution actually charges a fee to the City for this service. |
