Summary: |

|
This ordinance changes how the amount of wastewater flow is calculated for residential users of the City’s sewer system. It sets a default usage of 500 cubic feet per dwelling unit, which is based on the average residential water use within the City. It also provides a process for intermittent users (such as “snow birds”) to petition the Public Works Dept for a change in the averaging period. This would allow averaging of actual usage instead of assigning the default usage where no usage exists. |

The revised version adds language to allow a resident that moves to use the meter readings from their previous residence for their new residence. |
