Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance No. 5918 to Amend the Term and Fees for Pawnbroker and Secondhand Dealer Licenses by Amending Sections 5.36.030 and 5.36.040 of the Rapid City Municipal Code
Summary:
This ordinance will change the term of pawnbroker and secondhand dealer licenses from 1 year to 2 years.  As a result, licensees will only have to be fingerprinted, have a records check, and pay the associated fees every other year.  The license fees are also changed to reflect the extended term.
