The applicant has submitted a request to rezone approximately 40.2 acres of property from General Agriculture District to Heavy Industrial District. The applicant has indicated that the property could be used for a variety of Heavy Industrial uses, including a railroad freight terminal, railroad repair shop, junk/waste processing, materials, machinery, automobile, and equipment salvage, and acetylene gas manufacturing and storage. At the January 7, 2016 meeting, Planning Commission requested additional information regarding the conceptual master plan for the site and restoration of the existing steel recycling site. |
