The Rapid City Fire Department is requesting permission to apply for and accept $176,000 in Western States Fire Managers Grant funding for a Wildfire Mitigation Project.  The project area includes approximately 65 acres on Spring Brook Acres Common property within Rapid City’s wildland-urban interface areas that are at high risk of destruction from wildfire.
Funding Source & Fiscal Impact (if applicable):
Western States Fire Managers Grant TBD 50% at $88,000.  Springbrook Acres cash match of $50,000 and in kind of $32,000.  City in kind of $6000 for management through personnel – source Hazard Mitigation Grants Fund 105.
