Authorize Mayor and Finance Officer to Sign Resolution No 2015-023, A Resolution to Approve the Sale of Water to the City of Box Elder on an Interim Basis Beginning April 1, 2015
Summary:
The Council approved a Water Service Agreement with the City of Box Elder at its January 20, 2015, meeting. Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, the PW Directors of the respective cities can authorize the sale/purchase of water for periods less than 30 continuous days.  Council approval is required for the sale of water lasting longer.  Box Elder is requesting the sale of water for approximately six months beginning April 1, 2015, while a new well is drilled and put into service.  The Box Elder Common Council has already approved a resolution approving the purchase of water, so this resolution will authorize Rapid City’s sale for the extended six month time period.
