|
At the January 22nd Planning Commission meeting Staff presented several options regarding the appointment process for various Boards and Commissions. At that meeting the Planning Commission discussed their role and determined that the membership could also serve as the Board of Adjustment. The Planning Commission considered a draft Ordinance amendment authorizing the Planning Commission members to also serve as the Board of Adjustment on February 19th and recommended a few minor revisions. On March 5th the Planning Commission reviewed the revised ordinance and has forwarded a recommendation to the City Council for approval. A companion ordinance to that clarifies that the Planning Commission will serve as the Board of Adjustment has also been made to the Title 17.54 of the Zoning Ordinance. Both ordinances should be considered concurrently. |

Action: Approve Notes: Planning Commission requested revisions to the draft ordinance at the February 19, 2015 meeting and continued to the March 5, 2015 Planning Commission meeting. Planning Commission reviewed the revisions and recommended approval at the March 5, 2015 meeting; Legal and Finance Committee approved 1st Reading: 3/11/2015. |
