First Reading, Ordinance No. 6017, An Ordinance to Adopt the 2012 International Building Code by Amending Chapter 15.12 of the Rapid City Municipal Code |

Summary: |

|
Currently, the City has adopted the 2009 version of the International Building Code; this ordinance would adopt the 2012 version of the IBC and would retain several local amendments to the code. A public meeting was held on October 2, 2014 to solicit comments from builders on the proposed changes; five builders attended. Additionally, a copy of the ordinance was placed on the City’s website and was provided to the Black Hills Home Builders, and no comments in return have been received. The Building Board of Appeals considered the ordinance amendments at its October 14 meeting and recommended approval of Ordinance 6017. |
