Summary: |

The Petitioner requests de-annexation of approximately 339 acres of unplatted property. Although a growing residential subdivision, Elks Country Estates is located on the western boundary of the de-annexation area and the extension of E. Minnesota Street to the western edge of the de-annexation area is included in TID 74, the lack of municipal infrastructure and the sole use of the property for agricultural purposes support the application as requested. However, as the City’s growth extends easterly, the property will most likely be utilized to accommodate urban development. |
