Summary: |

|
The State of South Dakota recently adopted the 2014 edition of the National Electrical Code, and the City wishes to update its own ordinances to adopt the 2014 edition and to retain those provisions that impose more stringent local requirements upon electricians operating within the city. On July 23, Building Services held a meeting where staff could discuss the proposed changes with licensed electricians. All licensed electricians received notice of the meeting, and fourteen electricians were in attendance to discuss the changes. No one at the meeting objected to the proposed changes to the local ordinance. |
