Mr. & Mrs. Meyer own the property located at 2009 Stirling Street. The single family home on the lot is currently served by a non-conforming sewer service. The sewer service line exits the rear of the house and connects through a private main across neighboring property to the public sewer main in Selkirk Place. The Meyers have an easement over the neighboring property, and topography is such that constructing a new sewer service line (and the needed pump) out the front to a sewer main in Stirling Street would be prohibitively expensive. The Covenant Agreement provides that in exchange for the Meyers and subsequent landowners agreeing to maintain the private sewer, the Public Works Department will remove the property from its list of non-conforming sewer service lines. |
