Summary: |

|
The current ordinance requires that newly-annexed areas serviced by private enterprise at the time of annexation adopt city garbage service within 365 days of annexation. The amendment would permit the City and property owners to agree to a longer length of time before the annexed area must adopt city garbage service. This amendment would allow subdivisions who have existing private contracts for garbage service to annex into the City without requiring those subdivisions to also breach their contract for garbage service. |
