Summary: |

|
The City, School District, and Performing Arts Coalition entered into an MOU related to the construction of the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Rapid City High School (former Dakota Middle School). The City contributed $3.25 Million from the Vision Fund, and the original agreement included a board of 5 members to operate the PAC, with 1 member appointed by the City. The original board has since dissolved and a new non-profit corporation has been formed to manage the operations of the PAC. This MOU provides for City representation on the new PAC board, and also addresses some other issues related to board meetings. The Mayor asked me to put this on the Council agenda without going through Committee as the Board is anxious to get its bylaws finalized and move forward with its new board. |
