Agenda Title:
Authorize Mayor and Finance Officer to sign agreement with RCS Construction for the emergency repair of a water main in the amount of $54,388.00.
Summary:
After the extreme amount of storm water runoff which occurred on May 29, 2013 a water main located near E Meade Street under the Meade/Hawthorne drainage channel was found to be exposed in the channel.  This situation must be corrected immediately to prevent further damage or potential contamination of the City’s water system.  Requests for quotes were issued and two quotes were received.  RCS Construction provided the lowest quote.
