Authorize Mayor and Finance Office to Sign an Agreement between the City of Rapid City and CETEC Engineering Services, Inc. for Professional Services for Investigation of Irrigation Water Source for Soccer Complex, Project No. 13-2098 / CIP No. 50963, in the amount of $23,526.00.
Summary:
This project is to investigate the potential water sources for the purpose of irrigation of the future Rapid City Soccer Complex to be located North of Interstate 90 on Elk Vale Road. The resulting report developed from the investigation will compare the use of onsite raw water verses the use of treated City water for the purpose of irrigation of the site. The raw water aquifer source(s) available on site will be evaluated with regard to quality of water, quantity of water, water rights, as well as the estimate of capital cost and life cycle cost for the irrigation system well supply. This will be compared to the capital cost and life cycle cost of using treated City water to irrigate the ball fields using irrigation/wholesale water rates. Immediate and future needs will be evaluated.
