Summary:

Chief Allender is
requesting permission to apply for a hiring grant that will fund 75% of new
FTE wages over three years. This is similar to other COPS hiring grants used
in prior years. This will allow the RCPD to elevate staffing to reduce
workload/strain on current employees.

The 25% match will be
funded through the existing police budget. Full funding will need to be
budgeted for 2017.
