A request was recently made that the City Attorney’s Office research the possibility of repealing the bicycle registration requirements, and that is the ordinance before you under this item. The Police Department supports the proposed repeal. |

|
Fiscal impact is projected to be zero, as the license/registration fee under the current ordinance is to be collected and retained not by the City, but by the merchants in the business of buying or selling new or secondhand bicycles. See RCMC §§ 10.64.030(C.) and 10.64.040. |
