Hatchery Subdivision
A request by Fisk Land Surveying for Dakota Land Development to consider an
application for a Variance to the Subdivision Regulations to
allow sidewalks on one side of the interior
street and to waive the requirement to install sidewalk, curb and gutter, street
light conduit, dry sewer and water on the access easement on
Lot 1 of Lot F-1 of Fish Hatchery Subdivision and the north 545.31 feet of Lot
F-1 of Fish Hatchery Subdivision, Section 8, T1N, R7E, BHM, Rapid City,
Pennington County, South Dakota, more generally described as being located on
Jackson Boulevard/Highway 44 west north of the Fish Hatchery.
Staff recommends that the Variance to the Subdivision Regulations be continued to the April 15, 2002 City Council meeting as the stipulations of approval have not been met.
PLANNING
COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Planning Commission recommended that the Variance to the Subdivision Regulations to
allow sidewalks on one side of the interior
street and to waive the requirement to install sidewalk, curb and gutter, street
light conduit, dry sewer and water on the access easement
be
approved with the following stipulations:
1. |
The
sidewalk along the interior street shall be constructed as a four foot
wide concrete sidewalk meeting all of the design standards set forth in
the Street Design Criteria Manual; and, |
2. |
Prior
to City Council approval, the applicant
shall sign an agreement to consent to a future assessment project for the
improvements. |
