The changes in this ordinance are the direct result of a settlement agreement between the City and Lamar Advertising approved by Council last month. Primarily, the amendments decrease the spacing requirement between off-premises signs, delete the ban on digital or electronic off-premises signs, and clarify that the 20-year sunset provision for sign credits applies only to credits issued after June 2011. |
