Agenda Title:
Acknowledge proposed amendments to the Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Adjustment Bylaws
Summary:
Ordinance No. 6031 authorizing the Planning Commission to act as the Zoning Board of Adjustment and amending RCMC 17.54.010 is scheduled for second reading before the Common Council on April 13, 2015.  If that ordinance is adopted, the Bylaws for both the Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Adjustment should be amended to reflect the changes found within Ordinance No. 6031.  The current Bylaws for the Planning Commission require that before Bylaw amendments may be approved, the proposed amendments are to be introduced in writing at the prior regular meeting of the Planning Commission.  The ZBOA bylaws provide similarly – that proposed amendments have to be introduced in writing at least two weeks prior to the meeting at which action may be taken.
