Agenda Title:

Approve Resolution No. 2016-0004, A Resolution to Donate Property no Longer Needed for Municipal Purposes to the Oglala Lakota Sheriff’s Office. 

Summary:

 The Rapid City Police Department has decommissioned two 2009 Chevrolet Impala patrol vehicles due to age and high mileage.  The equipment that we can repurpose has been removed from the vehicles.  Equipment that has low value or cannot be repurposed remains in the vehicles.  This equipment includes a light bar, light control box, radar unit, console and partition.  It is requested that we donate these two vehicles to the Oglala Lakota County Sheriff’s Office.   

Funding Source & Fiscal Impact (if applicable):

There would be minimal fiscal impact.  These vehicles have a very low value due to their condition and mileage.
