16TP001 – Authorize staff to apply for the Walkability Action Institute Grant and accept funding if approved
Summary:
The Walkability Action Institute is designed to assist MPOs with policy, systems and environmental strategies to promote walkability throughout the region. The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are seeking to partner with at least ten MPOs to facilitate with promoting walkability through community design and transportation, as well as policies and practices. Only MPO teams that are selected to receive funding will be able to attend the Walkability Action Institute.
Funding Source & Fiscal Impact (if applicable):
Accept funding if awarded grant – not to exceed $7,152.
