Agenda Title:
Authorize staff to purchase one (1) Chevrolet Suburban in the amount of $41,950 using state bid contract #16865 and one (1) Chevrolet Tahoe in the amount of $34,848 using state bid contract #16866.
Summary:
The purchase of the Suburban will be a replacement for Car 14, a 2002 Chevy Malibu and the purchase of the Tahoe will be an addition to our fleet due to increase in staffing.  Purchase of the Suburban will be from Beck Motors as a local match to state bid contract 16865 in the amount of $41,950 and the Tahoe will be purchased from Billion Auto as a local match to state bid contract 16866 in the amount of $34,848.  These purchases were approved by Council in May ($37,577 for the Suburban and $32,019 for the Tahoe), however, when we went to purchase the vehicles the 2015 models were no longer available.  The 2016 models is more, $4393 for the Suburban and $2829 for the Tahoe.  We are requesting approval to purchase the 2016 models with the increased cost of $7222.
