On June 16th, the Pennington County Commissioner’s notified Rapid City Public Library that they would be unable to process the third quarter payment in July of 2015. This shortfall in funding has the potential to impact 6,639 County library patrons and seven library employees whose positions are funded by the County. This is a notification that should the County fail to cover this expense before October, that Rapid City Public Libraries will be seeking a supplement to the 2015 budget to cover City employee wages. |
