Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance No. 5931 An Ordinance to Delegate to the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Board the Power to Declare Certain Property as Surplus by Amending Section 2.76.080 of the Rapid City Municipal Code
Summary:
This ordinance will give the Civic Center Board the power to declare items of personal property surplus.  Currently, the Council must pass a resolution declaring property surplus before the Civic Center Board may sell or trade the property.  The ordinance requires that the Board follow all state law, city ordinance and city policy, and it requires notice to the Finance Office.
