Agenda Title:

Approve a request by Park Hill Development, Inc. for authorization to prepare an H-Lot located in the NE1/4 of the SE1/4 and the SE1/4 of the NE1/4, Section 7, T1N, R8E, BHM, Rapid City, Pennington County, South Dakota and to authorize acceptance of the deed.

 

Summary:

The applicant is proposing to vacate a portion of the 100-foot wide Wilma Street right-of-way in order to create Lots for a future subdivision (City Files 16VR001 and 16PL024, April 7, 2016 Planning Commission).  Copies of the proposed vacation and preliminary plat are attached.  The Wilma Street right-of-way is undeveloped; the City has no intention of constructing public improvements.  Until the final plat is recorded, the portion of the Wilma Street right-of-way not vacated will be landlocked.  In order to provide a temporary legal means of access to the remaining right-of-way, an H-Lot in the configuration of the proposed new right-of-way is being created.  Upon the final plat being recorded with new right-of-way created, the H-Lot can then be vacated. 

 

The applicant is requesting the authorization to prepare the H-Lot as identified above on behalf of the City of Rapid City and to authorize acceptance of the deed.
