The Compass Committee recommends to the Council that the Fleet Management study be conducted by a consultant selected through the RFP process rather than by in house Compass staff. Funds are available from the Compass budget as no FTEs have been hired to fill the two vacant positions. If the Council agrees that hiring a consultant for this pilot study is the way to go, we request that the Council determine the reporting and coordination structure between the consultant, the Mayor and City departments. The Compass Committee would then prepare a draft RFP to be discussed at its next meeting on June 8, 2015. |
