Agenda Title:
Confirm the reappointments of Jean Kessloff and Doug Jones to the Historic Preservation Commission and the appointment of Jody Speck to a voting position.
Summary:
Due to end of the year agenda deadlines, we were not able to send this item through Committee as is normal practice.  Please confirm the reappointments of Jean Kessloff and Doug Jones to the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC).  Per the recommendation of Jim Lehe in 2014, a new ordinance regarding the HPC is in progress and will be presented soon.  The HPC makeup and appointment process may change as a result of the ordinance. Since the current ordinance doesn’t state HPC commissioners continue serving until replaced, it is important to reappoint these two commissioners so the HPC remains functional during the time where the new ordinance is being discussed and considered.  Alternate #2 will remain open at this time.
