The Urban Wildlife Committee recommends that minor changes be made to the Rapid City Deer Management Plan. Those proposed changes are highlighted on Page 5 of the document. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board reviewed the changes and also recommends that they be approved. The Annual Deer Trend Survey was conducted by the SD Dept. of Game Fish & Parks in October, 2014 with assistance of several employees of the City’s Parks Division. Based on the results of that survey, SD GF&P recommends that 150 deer be harvested in the 2014/2015 season. Both the Urban Wildlife Committee and the Parks & Rec Advisory Board concur with the recommendation to harvest 150 deer this season |
