Confirm the appointment of Michael Diedrich to the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Board.
Summary:
Confirm the appointment of Michael Diedrich to the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Board of Directors to fill the unexpired term of Al Cornella. Although it is allowable to bring committee appointments directly to council meetings, it is standard procedure to go through committee first.  Please allow for this deviation from the standard procedure due to the fact that the Civic Center Board of Directors is a 5 member executive board, and it's important to have a full board during the hiring process for the new Executive Director of the Civic Center.  As a former State Senator, City Attorney and Civic Center Board member Mike Diedrich is well suited for this position, and the board needs his assistance now
