The South Dakota Department of Transportation has authorized a project to reconstruct the railroad crossings of Mount Rushmore Rd located between W Main St and Omaha St. To effectively reconstruct the railroad crossings, a full closure of Mount Rushmore Rd must occur and a detour route will be necessary. The agreement states that the SDDOT will do a survey of the affected streets before and after the detour to identify any damage that may be done to the detour streets and make repairs to the detour route if damage is identified. |
