No. 08SV048 - Village on the Green No. 2 Subdivision

A request by Sperlich Consulting, Inc. for Lifestyle Homes to consider an application for a Variance to the Subdivision Regulations to waive the requirement to install sidewalk and reduce pavement width as per Chapter 16.16 of the Rapid City Municipal Code on Lots 54A and 54B of Village on the Green No. 2 Subdivision, located in the NW1/4 NE1/4, Section 13, T1S, R7E, BHM, Pennington County, South Dakota, legally described as Lot 54 of the Village on the Green No. 2 Subdivision, located in the NW1/4 NE1/4, Section 13, T1S, R7E, BHM, Pennington County, South Dakota, more generally described as being located adjacent to the south side of Muligan Mile.


PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Planning Commission
recommended that the Variance to the Subdivision Regulations to waive the requirement to dedicate additional right-of-way be approved with the stipulation that a note be placed on the plat prohibiting on-street parking and that a five foot wide access easement shall be provided along Mulligan Mile as it abuts the property;

That the Variance to the Subdivision Regulations to waive the requirement to install sidewalks along both sides of Mulligan Mile be approved with the stipulation that an eight foot wide asphalt walking trail shall be provided along the north side of the northern tier of lots located along the golf course; and,

That the Variance to the Subdivision Regulations to reduce the pavement width of Mulligan Mile be denied without prejudice.
