No. 06OA006 – Ordinance Amendment

A request by City of Rapid City to consider an application for an Ordinance Amendment to establish the Fifth Street Overlay Zoning District by adding Chapter 17.62 to Title 17 of the Rapid City Municipal Code more generally described as being located north of Fairmont Boulevard and south of Kansas City Street between Third Street and Sixth Street.


LEGAL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
Legal and Finance Committee recommended that the Ordinance Amendment to establish the Fifth Street Overlay Zoning District by adding Chapter 17.62 to Title 17 of the Rapid City Municipal Code including revisions to the district boundary (to the middle of South Street) be approved.

 

PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Planning Commission recommended that the Ordinance Amendment to establish the Fifth Street Overlay Zoning District by adding Chapter 17.62 to Title 17 of the Rapid City Municipal Code be approved.

VOTE: (7 to 1 with Anderson, Brown, Collins, Fast Wolf, Landguth, LeMay and Runde voting yes and Derby voting no)
